While receiverships are nothing new in the industry, we’ve seen a change in their recent proliferation, as well as the variety of companies representing these properties. Some companies specialize in receiverships, while others handle them on a case-by-case basis. There are many differences between ‘standard’ commercial property management, and management of a commercial property in receivership, chief among them timing and authorization. Our panel of speakers will discuss these differences, and explain how best to manage a receivership from start to finish.

The MPSAXM is designed to assess your knowledge of the concepts, technical skills, and processes involved in preparing, analyzing, and completing a property management plan following IREM standards. It is completed in a classroom setting and includes an exam component that requires responses to management scenarios based on a property type of your own choosing from the following: office building, conventional apartment, or retail strip shopping center.
